Maurice is a mixed media painter and Jewelry designer who is recognized for his striking harmony and brilliance of color.  His "one-of-a-kind" Necklace designs incorporate semi precious gem beads and incorporate a confluence of exotic beads and findings collected from his travels and recombined in unique ways,  These creations are considered to be "wearable art".

His paintings are a synthesis of color experimentation, visual perception, image distortion, technical skill and interpretive feelings.  His current body of work has grown out of computer manipulation to create first-stage under paintings.  His finished mixed media paintings incorporate combinations of ink, watercolor, colored pencil, gouache, water based oil, pastel, oil crayons, metallic foils, and metallic powders.  The end result is a series of one-of-a-kind original mixed-media paintings.
